When the Gift Becomes Greater Than the Giver
Have I placed the gift God has given to me above God Himself?
Read it on Substack →I'm a Christian, continually learning and growing in my walk with God. By profession, I'm a Business Analyst and Product Manager, and the Founder of BlueQuest Solutions.
I'm a thinker at heart, someone who loves turning ideas into something meaningful. I'd rather write than talk 😊, and when I'm not working, you'll probably find me with a paintbrush, tending to my garden, or enjoying a quiet moment by the water with the ducks.
My walk with God is the heart of everything else I do. I'm still learning and growing in my faith, and most of that growth happens in my journal: reading the Bible, writing down what I'm hearing, and bringing my honest questions to God.
I share those reflections on Substack, in the hope that they help someone else draw closer to Christ and come to know God as loving, kind and faithful.
Have I placed the gift God has given to me above God Himself?
Read it on Substack →As a Business Analyst and Product Manager, my work sits where business needs meet the systems that serve them. I spend my days understanding how organisations really work: mapping processes, asking the right questions, and finding the gaps between where a business is and where it wants to be.
I'm very particular about getting this right. Whether it's improving a business system, shaping a strategy, redesigning a process or automating a task that eats up hours, my aim is always the same: to make people's work easier and their time better spent.
I genuinely love what I do. That love is what gave birth to BlueQuest Solutions.
BlueQuest Solutions grew out of my passion for helping businesses work smarter. I founded it to empower businesses with innovative management and technical solutions, bringing the same care I give to every process I analyse. Today we help SMEs and businesses across Africa and Europe stay sustainable and competitive in a fast-changing technological landscape.
I've always loved interior decor, and the way colour, texture and a few well-chosen pieces can turn a house into a home. Moving to the UK taught me to roll up my sleeves and do it myself 😊. What started out of necessity has become one of my favourite things. So far I've:
Plants have always made me happy, and recently I've started growing my own food. There's something special about eating what you've grown with your own hands. The British weather keeps me humble and can be frustrating, but every season teaches me something new. Next on my wish list: a greenhouse.
I'm blessed to live surrounded by greenery, close to the water. Some of my favourite moments are sitting by the waterfront with the swans, geese and ducks, or going for a long walk in the cool breeze. The quiet gives me space to slow down, take it all in, and reflect on my day, including whether I ticked off my to-do list.
